South Korea's nascent feminist movement turns to abortion ban
Many women in South Korea contacted Women on Web. They sent emails to ask or inform about their sexual and reproductive health situation. Women on Web give information how to access safe abortion in South Korea because it is difficult to access one. Most of them received the packages.
“South Korea remains one of the few wealthy nations where abortion is illegal, criminalised under a 1953 law that has been selectively enforced over its history based on government whims.” The Guardian wrote. “The fight to legalise abortion has become the latest battlefield in growing feminist movement in South Korea.”
